Welcome to the inaugural issue of the Lehi Lens (formerly The Lehi Link). We updated the name of your community newsletter to avoid confusion around other social media channels, and we think the new name fits well as we aim to put Lehi-focused news and events in your inbox.
While many newsletters are taking this week off, we’re just getting started! Thank you for being among the first of our subscribers 😃. With Christmas on the doorstep, we’ll keep it brief, so without further ado…
But first, we’d love to get your feedback - let us know what you’d like to see each week. We’re listening at [email protected]. And if you aren’t the type that likes to say much, we’d love to get your input in our poll.

Lehi's Electric Park hosted Utah County's largest-ever Jewish celebration on December 15, with hundreds gathering for a public Chanukah menorah lighting organized by Chabad of Utah County. The event honored two rabbis killed in a recent attack in Sydney, Australia. Themes of resilience and faith were emphasized, in response to global antisemitism. Mayor Mark Johnson and other community leaders attended, expressing solidarity and support for the Jewish community.
The Alpine School District Foundation is partnering with United Way of Utah County's Sub for Santa program to provide Christmas assistance to families in need. This year's demand has reached record levels, with over 2,700 families and 7,000 children signed up countywide, nearly half being first-time applicants. Organizers are seeking more volunteer sponsors to match with waiting families.
A 26-year-old Lehi man was arrested after allegedly sending inappropriate messages to an undercover agent posing as a 16-year-old girl on Reddit. The man faces 12 felony charges for exploitation and enticement of a minor, with investigators discovering he had previous charges with 10 similar felonies in March. He is being held without bail at Utah County Jail.
